Networking session

Register now for UCAmI’s 2nd International Networking session

Following on from the success of the 1st UCAmI International Networking session during 2017, the UCAmI community has decided to run the event again during UCAmI 2018.

The objective of the Networking Session is to provide conference delegates with the opportunity to introduce their research interests during the first session of the Conference and to foster an environment throughout the remainder of the 4 days to network with other delegates having a similar research interest or an aspiration to collaborate.

The Networking Session will provide opportunities for the following activities:

  • Rapid fire presentation from delegates. All delegates are invited to make a 2 minute presentation of their research interests, the topic of their UCAmI paper (if appropriate) and identifying any specific type of research collaboration being sought, lastly outlining their institution. To participate in this part of the session delegates must complete the Networking Session proforma (click here) and submit it to Easychair (track Networking Session).
  • Presentation of community relevant initiatives. This will involve a series of invited presentations outlining collaborative opportunities, funding initiatives, data sharing initiatives and the newly introduced UCAmI Cup competition.
  • Informal networking. The session will conclude with an informal networking coffee break where delegates can begin the process of networking and building collaborations.

We encourage all UCAmI delegates to participate in this session and raise awareness of their research interests and potential opportunities for collaboration at the outset of the Conference.

Networking Session Chairs:

Fernando-Gil Guerrero Gómez, CEO Global SolidQ
